For that stream three milestones have been identified:

  • the elaboration of operational guidelines
  • the design of the tools to be used for the SSDM activities
  • the development of the first version of the SP Template (SSDM's Management Information System)

Milestone 1: Detailed processes are validated

All the functions of the SSDM are fully described and documented through the design study. The idea of this milestone is to move one step ahead in designing concrete recommendations on how the SSDM is supposed to work – from function to action level. That exercise will allow to better understand the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder and provide a proper view on the required tools.

Key activities:

  • First design of each process
  • Sharing sessions with the main stakeholders (line ministries, SNA, main service providers and any other relevant contributor)
  • Adjustment of the detailed processes according to received remarks

Milestone 2: Patterns of each tool (except MIS) are build

From the detailed processes, the project team will have an extensive understanding of the needed tools to operate properly the SSDM operations. The extensive list of the required tools is not available at the moment but, there is, at least, the family folders and the enrolment forms that are included in this milestone.

Key activities:

  • Exhaustive list of tools needed for the SSDM operations, based on the validated detailed processes
  • For each tool, pattern design by the project team
  • Sharing session with the stakeholders
  • Adjustment of the tools

Milestone 3: The MIS first version (Social Protection Template) is realized

The MIS will be the spine of the SSDM as it will be the main tool to collect and spread information from the people to the stakeholders of SP and employment policies. That tool is likely to be hosted at district level. The detailed specification for that tool will directly emerge from the details processes of the SSDM.

Key activities:

  • Collection of the expected functionalities of the MIS from the detailed processes
  • Identification of the minimum requirement for the first version
  • Development of the Excel tool
  • Demonstration session to collect objections
  • Adjustment of the tool
