Summary

This report details several recent socio-economic trends in China.  It focuses on growth, employment and government actions to stimulate development.  China has recently attempted to reduce enterprises’ social protection burden by lowering insurance contribution rates for basic medical care as well as unemployment, work injury and maternity insurance for employees.
