Résumé

The paper presents personal experiences and views of the author related
to some of the aspects of the pension reform’s debate and reform’s process in Poland and
also in some other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The paper is not aimed at
present a detailed overview of the reforms nor to give a full account of the political
processes behind them, as it was already done in a number of publications.
