Resumen

This document presents the basic texts of OECD's declaration and decisions on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises - which intends to provide a balanced framework to improve the international investment climate and encourage the positive contributions multinational enterprises can make to economic, social and environmental goals - as reviewed in June 2000. This revision mainly concerns the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and it reinforces the core elements - economic, social and environmental - of the sustainable development agenda, providing a set of recommendations for responsible corporate behaviour worldwide consistent with existing legislation.
