Summary

On the basis of the available documentation, this study firstly examines the operation of two health micro-insurances: Bwamanda in Zaire and SEWA in India. Then it compares their respective advantages and limitations for improving access to health-care for excluded groups. Lastly, after analysing the viability of these health micro-insurance systems, the document proposes recommendations for increasing their efficiency.
