Resumen

In August 2005, a delegation from Jharkhand contacted the International Labour Organization and requested its technical support for the design and setting up of a new health insurance scheme that was planned to cover all the population of the State living on income below the poverty line. Upon receipt of a first concept paper prepared by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Health Society of Jharkhand, ILO carried out a first preliminary assessment mission in Jharkhand in September 2005.
