Résumé

Accompanies the study "The Gender Dimensions of Social Security Reform in Central and Eastern Europe: Case Studies of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland". Looks at social security reform in three EU accession countries during the 1990s through the lens of gender equality. Two broad categories of benefits are examined: Family benefits (including maternity benefits, family allowances, and child care benefits) and pensions (retirement and survivors' pensions).
