Summary

Presents the results of the actuarial valuation of the Social Security Fund (SSF) of the Lao People's Democratic Republic carried out by the International Labour Office during 2004 and 2005. The objective of the actuarial valuation was to review the financial situation of the SSF under status quo conditions, in particular to assess the adequacy of present contribution rates and the long-term financial sustainability of the fund.
