Policy notes

This section includes the policy notes created by the ILO as inputs to the roadmap for the implementation of the Law BPJS No2

List of the policy notes :

1. Indonesia’s national social security strategy in line with international social security standards, notably Convention 102 and Recommendation 202,
2. The work injury scheme and ways to extend coverage to the uncovered,
3. The life insurance scheme and ways to extend coverage to the uncovered,
4. The old age and pension schemes and ways to extend coverage to the uncovered,

The policy notes need to be prepared progressively for their inclusion in the first draft roadmap which is being prepared by DJSN with support from ILO and the World Bank.

Each policy note will include:

• an introduction on the thematic area,
• relevant international labour standards,
• international practice,
• the law in Indonesia and the practice,
• the foreseen reforms (with the new Law No40, 2004 and the BPJS Law, 2011)
• and some recommendations to the government.
