Resumen

This report details several recent socio-economic trends in Argentina.  It focuses on growth, employment and government actions to stimulate development.  It also details Argentina’s most recent attempts to promote social protection by creating cash transfer programs such as Programa Jóvenes con Más y Mejor Trabajo (PJMMT) and Asignación Universal por Hijo para Protección Social. These programs often have a double role: Providing important support to vulnerable groups while improving access to jobs, education or healthcare.
