Resumen

Health Strategic Plan 2003-2007 (HSP1) was launched in August 2002 and presided over by the Prime Minister of Cambodia. Health officials at all levels of the health system together with other relevant national, international stakeholders and community have implemented the plan toward achieving the Cambodian health related Millennium Development Goals by 2015.The Second Health Sector Strategic Plan 20098-2015 (HSP2) is based on experience gained from both strengths and weaknesses of the implementation of the HSP1. It aims at addressing health needs of the population during the eight coming years by using the opportunities offered by the Government of Cambodia, as the improvement in health status of all Cambodians is recognized by the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) as a priority for investing national resources in the social sector.
